    • TCP/IP Model: Layers and how it differs from OSI.
    • IP Addressing: IPv4 and IPv6, subnetting, VLSM, and CIDR.
    • Network Topologies: Star, mesh, hybrid, etc.
    • Ethernet: Standards, cabling, and switching.
  2. Network Access
    • Switching Concepts: VLANs, trunking, DTP, VTP.
    • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP): PVST+, RSTP, MSTP.
    • EtherChannel: Configuration and operation.
    • Wireless LANs: Standards (802.11), WLAN components, WPA/WPA2.
  3. IP Connectivity
    • Routing Concepts: Static vs. dynamic routing, routing tables.
    • IP Routing Protocols: RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP.
    • Inter-VLAN Routing: Router-on-a-stick, Layer 3 switches.
    • IP Services: DHCP, NAT, PAT, DNS.
  4. IP Services
    • Access Control Lists (ACLs): Standard, extended, named ACLs.
    • Network Address Translation (NAT): Types and configurations.
    • Quality of Service (QoS): Concepts and implementation.
    • NTP: Network Time Protocol.
  5. Security Fundamentals
    • Device Security: Password policies, SSH, secure access.
    • Layer 2 Security Features: Port security, DHCP snooping, DAI.
    • Access Control: Implementing ACLs for security.
    • VPNs: Basic concepts and configurations.
  6. Automation and Programmability
    • SDN: Concepts of software-defined networking.
    • APIs: Understanding and using APIs for network management.
    • Cisco DNA Center: Basic concepts and functionality.
    • Network Programmability: Ansible, Python, and other tools.
  7. Network Management and Operations
    • Network Monitoring: SNMP, syslog, and NetFlow.
    • Network Troubleshooting: Tools and methodologies.
    • Network Management Protocols: SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow.
    • Network Device Management: Backups, upgrades, and maintenance.
